Jon Ford is a multidisciplinary artist living and working in Melbourne. After a promising start to his artistic career, featuring in the Warringah and Mosman Art Prizes respectively, as well as studying at the National Art School, Jon made the move to Melbourne and focus on study and building a family. Over the years Jon has developed a unique style of figurative abstraction in an attempt to explore the often intangible experience that shape our interactions with the environment and one another. Through shape and colour and their intersection with the gestural mark making found in Jon’s practice, his work straddles the line between order and spontaneity.
